Santa Claus is coming!!!

Well, it's that time of the year again, Christmas time! YIPEEEE!!
I must say that it is so much more enjoyable for me now that I have a child. I have now realized that it is not about me anymore, it's about her, and seeing the expression on her face when she opens up all of her presents. I sure did have a good time picking out some fun stuff for her! She is definitly a lucky little girl!

So we went to see Santa. This was attempt #2!(the first time was on Thanksgiving weekend, that was a big mistake!) But, it was a beautiful day, and Santa sure was nice!
I don't think "you know who" enjoyed him as much as we did!

Happy Holidays everyone!
We wish we could be with everyone all at once!  We love you all so much and we will see you very soon!!!!

My lil' Rockstar!

Well, this week sure was special, not just for me, but for Ireland too! (aside from saying a couple of new words, like Grandma, Papa, Memah, oh and oven!) So we were doing what we always do during the week (that is.. going to Target!) and well on our way we saw a very special guy, my FAVORITE singer ever! Mr. Julian Casablancas. Now, I do realize that some or most of you may not know who this is, but, he is like my Elvis! (yes, he is that special!) He was doing a photoshoot right there on the street, and we were lucky enough to get this picture with him. She didn't seem to be bothered by him while we were talking to him, but then I saw the picture, and boy does she look scared! Anyway, very special for me to have my daughter meet my idol!!

Monkeys and Milestones

November is here, and Miss Ireland is now a year and a half. Geez, it really is unbelievable how fast she is growing up. My adorable little newborn has turned into a beautiful little girl!! We are now officially done breastfeeding...it was a good long run, longer than I thought, but we finished when we were both good and ready. She now soothes herself to sleep, (with a little help from her thumb and her DVD player) and even sleeps through the night!

So, Halloween came and went! We all had so much fun at the pumpkin patch, while she ran around and chased all the little kids like she always does! Our lil' monkey was as cute as can be! There were lots of cute costumes, but hers by far was the CUTEST! We took her down to The Grove to do some trick or treating, and she did pretty good for her very first time.

Here is one happy monkey with all her treats!!

Arizona or BUST!

Well, WE MADE IT! (and in one piece, i might add!!)  Me, Ireland and my BFF Carroll (AKA Ireland's godmother) finally decided to take a road trip to visit a very dear friend from high school. After making sure that I had everything including the kitchen sink packed (like I always do!) we were desert bound....and then it happened..........she screamed for hours!!! All I could think about was "poor Carroll"! I could just tune it out, but I know that it would be a bit more difficult for her to do that! YIKES! So....after 6 hours on the road (3 of which sounded like someone was watching Linda Blair scream in that terrifying voice!) We arrived!!
We had such a great time! Ireland played with her new friends, she just loves hangin' with the big kids!!  We hit the mall, hit the zoo, and had a blast!!! We can't wait to go back!
(Thankfully, our ride back home was smooth sailing! We had a portable DVD player along with lots of movies that my good friends gave me to keep Ireland entertained! LIFE SAVER!!!)

Not too many animals were out and about, but we did see these guys...

Taking a break.........

Its good to be home!

17th Month

Yes, today she is now 17 months old!!
Wow, it's going by way too fast!! I remember on her first birthday thinking, "I can't wait until she starts walking". (at that time she was just taking a step or two here and there) Then, back in June, she started walking!! Here we are now(just a few months later) and now she runs everywhere!!  It's truly amazing, and such a joy watching this kid grow up!
So, over the last few weeks, we spent lots of good quality time(that is priceless!) with the family. We had Grandma Diane come and stay with us a couple of times. We had Memah and Grandma Lucy drive down from Washington State to visit. Then we all went to dinner with Grandpa Greg, Uncle Denny, and Auntie Lorna. We then went to stay with Grandpa John and Nana in Malibu for a couple of days....life is GOOD!!

Gettin' Down

The Princess

Well, she certainly is getting bigger! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! People always say they grow up so fast...the people were right! She is only 16 (and a half) months now, and she has such a fun little personality. It's fun to watch her do all these little things to make people laugh. Whenever we go anywhere, she's always on! For instance, whenever we get into an elevator with other people, she looks around and says "hi" with her cute little voice. If there is a child in there, she immediately walks up to them and will try to hold their hand. She is such a friendly little girl!

Here we go.....

I thought that I would give this "blog" thing a shot. No pressure to be funny or witty- just me and my thought, and funny stories about my little girl. (we all know that I won't run out those!) So here's to my first attempt.....
