It's Potty Time!

So we are now starting the potty training process. I have heard and read lots of different theories on this subject, so I am proceeding with caution. However, for the past couple weeks we have had lots of success! Most of the time she wakes up with a dry diaper (which is a good sign that she is definitly ready for this), so what we do is we hurry to the potty and sit and listen for the little tinkle sound and the cute song her princess potty plays when she goes. Of course stickers are a MUST! It's amazing how a little thing like that can distract her and keep her on there! Usually, we hear the song immediatly, and she says "pee pee?"  (It sounds to me like it is a question) And we celebrate! YIPEE!! She is doing really well, and I am taking it slow...no pressure on my side. She will have it down before we know it!
In a couple of weeks, she will be done with her first semester in school. We can't wait to start another class and meet more friends! She really has been having a lot of fun being creative and I have discovered that she is a bit of a daredevil! She has so much fun on the slide, but you can tell that she is a little scared at first.  After a few minutes she finally just goes for it and laughs the whole way down!!!

Here are some more candid shots...

Love you all.

So far in 2010....

Hello Family and Friends!!
Well,  the holidays are over now and of course the little one got so many gifts from everyone because she is so LOVED by so many people, so thanks to everyone for spoiling my baby...I'm sure she has many more years of spoiling to come. So far this year has been a fun one. We have been hanging out with lots of friends, and even took a trip up to the Griffith Observatory, looking forward to going there a lot..what a fun place!
Also, Ireland started her first day of preschool!
(Well technically it's a "Toddler Program", but it is still at a preschool, just getting her prepared for the real thing!) She is the only girl in her class, but I think she is okay with it. Along with doing fun little art projects and running around in the playground, she has even taken the role as "class bully". Here is a picture from her first day...couldn't get a smile though.

Here are some other fun pictures...
We love you all!!

Ireland singing, she is so darn cute!!!!

I just love this kid, she is constantly making me and everyone laugh, she is so funny!!

Santa Claus is coming!!!

Well, it's that time of the year again, Christmas time! YIPEEEE!!
I must say that it is so much more enjoyable for me now that I have a child. I have now realized that it is not about me anymore, it's about her, and seeing the expression on her face when she opens up all of her presents. I sure did have a good time picking out some fun stuff for her! She is definitly a lucky little girl!

So we went to see Santa. This was attempt #2!(the first time was on Thanksgiving weekend, that was a big mistake!) But, it was a beautiful day, and Santa sure was nice!
I don't think "you know who" enjoyed him as much as we did!

Happy Holidays everyone!
We wish we could be with everyone all at once!  We love you all so much and we will see you very soon!!!!

My lil' Rockstar!

Well, this week sure was special, not just for me, but for Ireland too! (aside from saying a couple of new words, like Grandma, Papa, Memah, oh and oven!) So we were doing what we always do during the week (that is.. going to Target!) and well on our way we saw a very special guy, my FAVORITE singer ever! Mr. Julian Casablancas. Now, I do realize that some or most of you may not know who this is, but, he is like my Elvis! (yes, he is that special!) He was doing a photoshoot right there on the street, and we were lucky enough to get this picture with him. She didn't seem to be bothered by him while we were talking to him, but then I saw the picture, and boy does she look scared! Anyway, very special for me to have my daughter meet my idol!!

Monkeys and Milestones

November is here, and Miss Ireland is now a year and a half. Geez, it really is unbelievable how fast she is growing up. My adorable little newborn has turned into a beautiful little girl!! We are now officially done breastfeeding...it was a good long run, longer than I thought, but we finished when we were both good and ready. She now soothes herself to sleep, (with a little help from her thumb and her DVD player) and even sleeps through the night!

So, Halloween came and went! We all had so much fun at the pumpkin patch, while she ran around and chased all the little kids like she always does! Our lil' monkey was as cute as can be! There were lots of cute costumes, but hers by far was the CUTEST! We took her down to The Grove to do some trick or treating, and she did pretty good for her very first time.

Here is one happy monkey with all her treats!!

Arizona or BUST!

Well, WE MADE IT! (and in one piece, i might add!!)  Me, Ireland and my BFF Carroll (AKA Ireland's godmother) finally decided to take a road trip to visit a very dear friend from high school. After making sure that I had everything including the kitchen sink packed (like I always do!) we were desert bound....and then it happened..........she screamed for hours!!! All I could think about was "poor Carroll"! I could just tune it out, but I know that it would be a bit more difficult for her to do that! YIKES! So....after 6 hours on the road (3 of which sounded like someone was watching Linda Blair scream in that terrifying voice!) We arrived!!
We had such a great time! Ireland played with her new friends, she just loves hangin' with the big kids!!  We hit the mall, hit the zoo, and had a blast!!! We can't wait to go back!
(Thankfully, our ride back home was smooth sailing! We had a portable DVD player along with lots of movies that my good friends gave me to keep Ireland entertained! LIFE SAVER!!!)

Not too many animals were out and about, but we did see these guys...

Taking a break.........

Its good to be home!
